DH and I are proud to announce the arrival of Iain Daniel!
Iain was born on July 4, 2007 at 12:19 AM at the Ottawa General Hospital. He weighed in at a hefty 8lbs 6.2 ozs and, about, 19 inches in length. We really enjoyed sharing the experience with both sets of grandparents in attendance (well, in the waiting anxiously room type of attendance).
DH, baby and I just arrived home yesterday to a front door graced with blue balloons and flowers throughout the house! It’s so nice to have two sets of grandparents here – we’ve been spoiled with house cleaning, laundry fairies and great food.
More news to follow as we get used to this very great (and wonderful) addition to our family.

He's a beautiful baby boy! I really love the name Iain! (and Daniel, b/c my daughter is named Danielle) What a sweet idea the balloons and flowers were! The gift of laundry is SO important that first week! There is just so much of it. I'm glad both sets of grandparents are on hand for you! It's good to have that many helpers. Nice to not be pregnant anymore, right? sweet baby! ***cry***
Oh, look at that! Welcome to the world, little Iain. It's a better place with you in it.
Congratulations Patty and DH! Iain Daniel is beautiful. He looks wonderfully healthy and 8 lbs 6 oz isn't as big as you feared (WHEW!) Get some sleep and keep us posted :)
Congratulations! He is beautiful and gorgeous and makes me even more anxious for the arrival of my little guy! Only 7 more weeks to go!
BTW, remember how I told you I'd guessed the gender and you said you would wait to hear what my guess would be? Well, I was right! YAY!
Hooray for another baby boy! I love his name! :)
Oh yeah!! Congratulations to all of you. I'm just so excited!!
He is tres, tres cute.
Enjoy the grandparents cooking and cleaning. Ken often says we might have starved after our babies were born if my mom wasn't around to feed us.
Hope labour was quick and feeding is going well.
Oh Patty, he's amazing! I told you he was going to be cute. A million congratulations and best wishes to you all. Welcome to the motherhood. Please let me know if I can help you with anything. I can't make a lasagna and bring to your house but I can always lend an ear or a shoulder when/if you need it.
Congratulations! He's beautiful... good job, Mom and Dad.
Welcome to the world Iain Daniel. Seeing your sweet face on your Mommy's blog made my day a lot brighter.
What is it about babies?
What a cutie pie! Congratulations!
Iain looks like a very happy baby. Hopfully you are getting everything packed and ready to go!
Steve.
