What Projects Are In Your Knitting Bag?

I am shamelessly stealing an idea from Barbara’s blog. She posted about her ‘short attention span’ with a picture of her current WIPs. What a great idea!

Here are the WIPs in my knitting bag:

One Celtic Cable scarf, the second Fetching glove, and my Not-So-Shrunken cardie.

Now, I’m curious. What is in your knitting bag? Do you even have a knitting bag or am I the only one who carts around multiple projects in hopes that one of them will suit the occasion I’m attending? How many of you do things like bring knitting in your purse (like I did to the Wing Commanders Garden Party on Sunday) but do not take it out of because it just did not seem like ‘that kind of event’…whatever that is?

Come on! Curious minds (well, mine anyway) want to know!

I just started reading your blog and thougt this would be a good way to introduce myself. I have a shrug that I need to frog, a pair of slippers (both are patters from Erika Knight books) and the"Never wimpy wimple."

I wish I could join you, but I truly am pretty good about sticking to the 'one-at-a-time' rule (with a few 'mini' exceptions around the holidays). But if you could peak in my brain and see all of the projects I WANT to do, the yarn would probably fill a room. I'm big on knit pattern window shopping. : )

That purple is stunning. Very - fetching (ah ha ha). That pattern is on my list too and might end up as teachers gifts this December.

Nice bunch of stuff =) I only have a pair of socks in my bag. Need to start something else, or finish them. =)

I don't like to have a lot of WIPs. I have a hibernating sock, a hibernating lace scarf (have I mentioned I don't like knitting socks or scarfs?), and the Opulent Raglan, which is one cuff from being done. I usually carry a project in my purse, but at the moment, I don't have anything suitable. My next project will be a jacket in bulky wool, so I may need to resurrect either the sock or the scarf for carry-around knitting.

does it have to be in my bag or can it be roaming the house? Roaming projects include a cabled vest, the second sock of a pair and a baby blanket

I have more than one knitting bag, but they usually only have one project in them at a time. That being said I have a knitting desk and a few other baby safe areas to stash projects. Right now I have four WIPs, one of which is on hold until I get the important stuff done (which is three of them) and I have to add by the end of this week another WIP which will bring me back up to three. I'm going to be posting pictures on my blog later today or tomorrow.

I'm too ashamed to list everything I have on the go in various bags all over the house. Suffice it to say that if I only had three things on needles...I'd be absolutely gleeful (Just for a start...my sock club is on sock 6 and I've finished one of every pair but not two...eeep).
